KUALA LUMPUR, April 27 — Gamuda Bhd has appointed Mohammed Rashdan Yusof as Deputy Group Managing Director (MD) effective May 1, 2018.
In a statement today, it said Rashdan, 47, would lead the group’s property business by providing strategic direction and exploring collaborative partnerships aimed at harnessing the value of Gamuda Land’s landbank.
“He would work alongside the Deputy Group MD, Datuk Ir Ha Tiing Tai, who will continue to lead Gamuda Engineering as the unit focuses on clinching significant contracts given the strong pipeline of railway projects planned for the country.
“Both the Deputy Group MDs will report to Group Managing Director Datuk Lin Yun Ling,” Gamuda said.
It said with the streamlining of roles, both Ha and Rashdan would be well positioned to steer the group towards delivering strong growth over the next five years.
“Rashdan would also spearhead Gamuda’s significant investment in technology and innovation under the Digital Transformation Roadmap to enhance the group’s competitive edge.
“In line with this, he would play a key role in growing the business for Gamuda Industrialised Building System, the country’s first digital and robotic IBS facility,” it added. — Bernama
