PETALING JAYA: Hock Seng Lee Bhd (HSL) has won RM54.3 million contract from Sarawak Energy Bhd (SEB) for the Balingian coal-fired power plant project in Mukah, Sarawak, through an open tender procedure.
HSL told the stock exchange yesterday that it received two letters of acceptance from SEB for the project known as “2X312MW Balingian coal-fired power plant project, package C05A – earth works and common facilities and package C05C – operator’s residence”.
The group said the scope of works includes pilling, earth works, infrastructure works, building works for staff accommodation and related amenities as well as the associated mechanical and electrical works.
The 18-month contract is expected to commence in February 2019.
The contract is expected to contribute positively to HSL’s earnings and net assets as the project progresses during the contract period.
